Victron Energy Management System
Victron was founded in 1975 in the Netherlands and initially manufactured high quality inverters for marine applications. The company
has expanded over that time and now offers nearly 1000 different products to more than 60 countries including France, England, Germany, Denmark,
Spain, USA, South Africa and Australia. Victron products are used in many application including stand-alone power, automotive & marine. The company
has 90 employees, which includes 35 R&D engineers. Victron is a technology focused and sales driven company, and to stay at the forefront of energy
management, Victron relies on a strong R&D team. The company structure is flat management is done by Reinout and Matthijs Vader, Directors of the Company
and everybody reports directly to one of both. The Australian Navy uses Victron Inverters in many of their ships due to their reliability and ability to
operate in harsh environments. Victron products can also be found throughout the world in many other applications such as Police, Fire and Ambulance vehicles.

What The System Does

MPPT Solar Controller
A Solar Controller should be able to get the maximum out of a solar panel. In order to do so, a Controller should be able to choose the optimum Current-Voltage
point on the Current-Voltage curve which is the Maximum Power Point. Victron MPPT Solar Controller does exactly that. As the name suggests Maximum Power Point Tracking
(MPPT) Solar Controller provides ultra-fast Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT), especially in case of changing light conditions and cloudy skies. MPPT controller also
provides advanced Maximum Power Point Detection in case of partial shading conditions. An ultra-fast MPPT controller like the Victron MPPT Solar Controller will
improve energy harvest by up to 30% compared to PWM charge controllers and by up to 10% compared to slower MPPT controllers.
Color Control GX (CCGX) Monitor
The Victron Color Control GX Monitor is the heart of an Energy Management System. The CCGX monitor provides control & monitoring for all power systems. The CCGX has a color display to see exactly where and how much power is coming in and going out of the system. The display also provides the state of all the power systems connected to the MPPT Controller. The Control Monitor can also incorporate a tank sensor to show level of water in the tank. A GPS dongle can also be fitted in the monitor for tracking purposes. An alert message warning system can be set up in the color monitor in case of emergency.
When connected to the internet, the color monitor can log the data which can be viewed on the VRM portal and is very easy to set up. There is facility for a micro SD card to be inserted into the Monitor that stored the logged data which can be accessed offline or can be uploaded to the VRM portal. The Color Monitor also updates itself automatically when internet is present. The real-time monitoring & data-logging features in the Color Control GX (CCGX) Monitor is an unique feature that is not available in any of the other energy management & energy storage systems and this is one of the smart features that distinguishes the Victron Systems from the other systems in the market.
Inverter / Charger
Victron’s Inverter/Chargers have an Automatic Transfer Switch (ATS) which gets activated when the system is connected to the mains and this helps run the 240V equipment’s off the mains bypassing the battery and the switch also enables the mains to charge the battery.
BMV-700 Series Battery Monitor
The essential function of a battery monitor is to calculate ampere hours consumed and the state of charge of a battery. Ampere hours consumed is calculated by integrating the current flowing in or out of the battery. The Victron BMV-700 is a high precision battery monitor that is easy to install, Bluetooth smart, easy to program with a smart phone and has many more features.
